How long has it been now? I think I seem to bounce in and out of the IJ at the moment. I'll occassionally drop in when I need a favour.

At any rate, I am looking for a couple of fics I read ages ago. A couple of them may actually be the same, but as google isn't cooperating I haven't been able to find any of them. Thoughts? All snarry, so that should narrow it down some.

1. The Occasional Table by Pedatrix. Can't find a working link to this one.
2. Wears the Trousers. I thought this was by Rakina, but it's not on her list so I guess I was wrong.
3. There is one in which Snape turns himself into a bookcase on the quidditch pitch, but I can't remember the title.
4. Another for the missing title list: either Harry or Snape accidently turns themselves into a quill. This might have been part of any of the above three, to be honest. I don't think it was a whole fic by itself.

5. Not entirely related, but I'm wanting animagi fic at the moment. I've recently reread Parceltongue Tied, Animagus Love, Getting Familliar, The Snidget, Pink, In like a lion, Severus and the Crup and Learning to Uncurl. I know there are more out there - in particular I remember one where both transformed into dogs, who were then picked up by Hagrid - and I'd like to read more if anyone has any good ones to reccommend.

I really need to get back to IJ. I seem to have dropped off the face of the planet.

I have a couple of new fics in the works. I don't know if they'll ever see the light of day, but the ideas are there. We'll see how it goes.

Hello all. Long time no see. I've more or less dropped out of the fandom. I don't write fic anymore (except for a single OC piece I'm working on as a prize on ravelry), I don't do all that much reading, and I'm rarely on either IJ or LJ. So it should come as even more of a shock that I'm here to rec.

I'm sure you're all watching the Snarry Games, but just in case you're not...

A firm and fair hand by ponderosa. Rated R, with implied spanking. Probably the prettiest, hottest piece of fanart I have ever seen. Go and lust after her Snape. And her Harry. And her wineglass, for that matter. Go.

I've been fic searching. I should have known when I started that looking for a particular Legolas romance was like looking for a needle in a whole field of haystacks. I'm fairly sure I'd never read a fic involving ' the shieldmaiden Rowannen' but beyond that I'm stumped.

However, I'm going to put the description out there just in case. I know the following.

- I read it around 2002-2003. A long time ago.
- It was probably a sequel, or failing that, a very long fic.
- It was pretty explicit, especially for poor innocent fourteen year old me back then.
- It was het (gasp!)
- I think Legolas and his mystery woman (I think she was a woman - she definately wasn't an elf or dwarf. Perhaps a maia of some sort?) were staying in Gondor
- There was a balcony involved
- There was jealousy at some point, but I can't remember why
- They were married or about to get married.
- It was not by Nebride. I reread all hers, sure that the woman in question was Alede, but no luck.


And just in case this turns into a lucky day and someone knows what this is, I also started reading a fic on legolasgreenleaf.com before it went down. The guy writing it said it would go up on ff.net but I never found it. It started off with Legolas and Gimli in Mirkwood, about to go off on an adventure, and a woman (enter love interest) trapped in a pit somewhere by an unnamed evil presence, being eaten by rats. The fun never stops :D

I've been snooping on eeyore9990's journal, and I want everyone to rec me their favourite fic. One that they've written.

If it's Snarry,I will read it. If it's funny, I will read it. If it is written by the_con_cept, eriador117 or ilye_elf, I will read it. In fact, all those will be rereads :D Go forth and rec.

I would like to take a moment to say it is amazing how much reading one can get through when confronted with an essay/reading deadline or an imminent book release.

Hello all *waves* I know I've dropped out of fandom for a bit. With the exception of a couple I'm still reading, I've more or less migrated over to the LotR fandom again. I'l be back, I'm sure.

Anyway, I'm dropping in to say that lococo has finished translating The Path of Second Chances into chinese. So if anyone wants a look, it is here. Actually, can anyone tell me if it actually is there - my computer doesn't register chinese. Thanks.

Just dropping in to let you all know I'm still alive :D With exams and end of year assignments and my driving test (failed again!) and the various DIY projects in my house, I have basically dropped off the IJ radar. And I don't think I'll be back any time soon, to be honest. If anyone has anything they think I should know (amazing fic, fandom explosion, JKR announcing canon Snarry, that sort of thing) drop me a line here and I should get it in the emails :D

Other than that, you'll probably see me in July, when I announce that me average 1st has dropped down to a fail due to lack of revision lol

lilyseyes, I thought you might want to see what I made with the yarn you sent me for Christmas.

Originally, it was going to be socks. I gave up on those and ripped them out. Then I made Kiri, which is the shawl behind the cut. I love it. Loveitloveitloveitloveit. I feel spring in the air when I look at it :D I do have a bit of yarn left over too, so I might reknit those socks yet, but this is the main project. Again, thank you so much!

I'm new kinds of exhausted. I've managed to read 12 books of criticism and one games fic. I've written two essays and made a plan for the third. I've started revision notes for Things Fall Apart. Wake me up if Eriador117 posts part 15 *sleeps*

Okay, this 'Im in ur serverz' thing, with the scary dogs. Where did it all start? I know it is animal related, and I know it inspires bad spelling, but why? It mkaes my brain hurt and at the moment it is everywhere. Posters, icons, a huge great freaking thread on ravelry. I just don't get it. Someone explain?

If I pass this year with a first (I have to give myself a challenge), then I will buy two skiens of laceweight yarn from handpaintedyarn.com. One in the Cortezas Ic colourway and one in Mediterrania Ic. I wish I had the money and time to just buy and knit it all now...

EDIT: I caved and bought it :D One skien of Mediterranian and one skien of bonbon. Yay for lovely colourways.

This turned into a reward for finishing all those essays on the slave trade and feminism. For heaven's sake, ears are not sex symbols *grumbles*

I failed on manouvers :( Mixed up my 3/4 and full lock turns and ended up on the wrong side of the road. Only 9 minors, though.

So. Driving test tomorrow. My instructor is picking me up at 7.20. Am sick with nerves.

Y'know what's tricky? Having given up on ff.net, I've found that there is not a great deal of Sweep fanfiction out there. Or there is, but it is very difficult to find. Sweep or Wicca brings up wikipedia, amazon, ebay and sites about the craft. Hunter/Morgan brings up sites on irish names and fox hunting. Giomanach brings me back round to wiki. It's not good.

This is all broken up, of course, by fan sites without fic. Sigh.
